Kariya is screwed.
MAJORLY SCREWED.
SO SCREWED THAT HE WANTS TO CRY OUT AND CLIMB MOUNT EVEREST.
OKAY MAYBE NOT THAT SCREWED BUT YOU GET WHAT HE MEANS.
It has almost been a year since he transferred into this school. A year of so much pretentiousness yet a year with so much new emotions he has felt. He never felt like this before, not to a person, and certainly not to a friend. Mind you, he has made a lot of friends back in the past but they never made him felt the way he does now. It's all his fault. ALL HIS DAMN FAULT. He couldn't even say his name out loud without feelings days of abdominal pain. Yes that's how bad he has got it for him. Kirino Ranmaru.
"Oh HEY CAN YOU LEND ME THE NOTES FOR LAST WEEK?" asked Kirino as he grabbed Kariya's shoulders. Kirino recently had been absent because he was busy preparing for his Grandfather's funeral. "Okay fine, let me go out and get it" said Kariya as he rolled his eyes. "OKAY GOOD THANK YOU THANK YOU" replied Kirino while he clapped his hands in gratitude. Kariya went out the library and got out his maths books from his bag. They're having a test next week and Kirino didn't revise at all nor did he even attempt to study. Maths was Kirino's worse subject, Kariya was okay at it since he gets decent marks on tests. "HERE" shouted Kariya as he placed the books on the table. "YAY- OH WAIT I NEED TO GO AND GET MY PENCIL CASE AND BOOK OUT OKAY WAIT FOR ME" said Kirino in a fast pace and before Kariya could even reply he was out of the door.
Kariya smiled to himself, he kind of liked Kirino's rushing character trait, it was humorous at first but now Kariya couldn't see Kirino in any other way. Kariya tend to think about Kirino, well not during class time but at home he would wonder away if Kirino did actually consider him a friend, which is pretty obviously because Kirino only acts like a independent fool towards Kariya. It made him feel special. Kirino was weird sometimes, he would ask and beg Kariya for help but at certain times he could constantly reject Kariya's help and sort out his problems by himself. "I'M BACCCCCKKKK" said Kirino as he sat down next to Kariya. "Why are you huffing and puffing?" asked Kariya with a blank look. "BECAUSE I RAN OVER THERE AND QUICKLY ZOOONG! TAKE MY BOOKS OUT AND COME AAAAAAAAHHH RUN BACK" explain Kirino as he did hand gestures or some kind of weird movement to go along with it. Kariya raised his eyebrows, Kirino was sure hyperactive even after his Grandfather's funeral.
Kirino wasn't always so hyperactive and weird. One time when they were doing a group project, it was about the geology of different places in Japan. Kariya asked Kirino about his hometown in Northern Kanto but Kirino replied with bored answers. He instructed to Kirino to study the places in Northern Kanto while he does something else. Kirino obliged but only for a very few seconds, that day Kirino was very silent and passive. Kirino would look down and not do anything at all, like something is disturbing him. Kariya felt annoyed at this, but one of the classmates advised him to not bother Kirino any longer and that drew Kariya to the edge. In the end Kirino did end up contributing something, but that day's scene would repeat constantly in Kariya's head but he would never speak about it to Kirino.
